What are your opinions on Kaplan MCAT 528 book? Thank you !

dude they already released a 2nd edition like wtf. they've barely merely released the first edition!

anyways, information technology does seem to exist a skillful volume but i recommend you lot personally take a re-create of the 2015 outline with you lot to a bookstore and check out and see if the book is really worth information technology in the store before purchasing

I perused the version at my local bookstore and decided to take hold of the last copy, its a pretty decent book with a lot in it for simply 45$.

A lot, more than I experience like counting, merely its a not insignificant corporeality of information in the book. I recommend information technology.

No idea if i purchased the 1st or 2nd edition at Barnes and Nobles...didn't even know there was a 2d edition yet...will check when I get dwelling, volition be hella pissed if I concluded up getting 1st lol. Volume is solid, a fiddling pricey imo (but I'm broke and cheap every bit hell at this point), seems to have good passages though.

I'm only non a huge fan of "mapping" that Kaplan loves to talk about so much..I experience information technology takes and so much fourth dimension, and afterwards taking the actual test I know for a fact I don't have time to sit at that place and make an outline of the passage

I agree with you near mapping. Totally ignored the stuff that Kap seemed to tout. For me, mapping took too much fourth dimension and it was easier and more efficient to make a mental map and highlight the residuum.
Most important thing I learned from 528 was what should be going through my heed equally I read the passage and as I look at answers. At that place are a ton of different ways to arrive at the correct reply but some are more efficient than others. The 528 books was basically a ton of passages with a step by step explanation of how to tackle them. Chem/Phys was my weakness and I felt like I bumped 15-20% from just reading the book.

Sometimes I call back I read to much into this, but my feel with the MCAT is this:
Lets face it y'all can't "know" everything, especially with the amount of reasoning on the test. With many questions, you'll become to a mental fork in the road. "Do y'all use this formula or that" "Would this activate or suppress" "Is this sympathetic or parasympathetic" - you go the point. I found that with Kap'south 528 I had a more than solid reasoning process to help me pick the correct direction.
